Von Dichtungen, die innerhalb des Lochkreisdurchmessers (d. h. ohne Schraubenlöcher) von Flanschen gemäß ÖNORM EN 1092-1 (Flansche mit PN-Bezeichnung) angeordnet sind, sind die Abmessungen festgelegt. Dieser Teil der Norm behandelt metallische Dichtungen mit gewelltem, flachem oder gekerbtem Profil im Druckstufenbereich PN 10 bis PN 100 und für Nennweiten bis einschließlich DN 900. Die verschiedenen Ausführungen und Formen sind beschrieben. Angaben für die Kennzeichnung sind enthalten. Hinweise auf Bestellangaben sowie auf die Richtlinie 89/106/EWG sind in die informativen Anhänge aufgenommen worden.
