Diese Europäische Norm legt die Anforderungen an die Interoperabilität der Verbindung aus Stecker und Steckdose (Steckvorrichtung) zwischen Zugmaschine/Anhänger und/oder Transporttank/Anhänger zur Verwendung in explosionsgefährdeten Bereichen wie folgt fest: - für die Verbindung für die Spannungsversorgungen Typ A und Typ S der Bedienungsausrüstung; und - für die Kennwerte der elektrischen Versorgung für jede Betriebsart. Diese Steckvorrichtung umfasst auch Bereitstellungen für zukünftige Anschlüsse einschließlich solcher für die Datenübertragung. Die Steckvorrichtung ist nicht für die in anderen Normen zu Steckvorrichtungen zwischen Zugmaschine/Anhänger, z. B. in ISO 12098 und ISO 7638-1, festgelegten Zwecke verwendbar.
