Diese Europäische Norm legt die Anforderungen und Klassifizierung für Fenster, Türen, Abschlüsse fest, wenn diese nach EN 1523 geprüft werden. Diese Europäische Norm kann angewendet werden für Angriffe mit Faustteuerwaffen, Büchsen und Flinten auf Fenster, Türen, Abschlüsse einschließlich deren Rahmen und Füllungen zur Verwendung im Innen- und Außenbereich von Gebäuden. Abschlüsse müssen einzeln und nicht in Verbindung mit einem Fenster oder einer Tür geprüft werden, um eine Widerstandsklasse gegen Durchschuß zu erhalten. Diese Europäische Norm gibt keine Auskunft über das Verhalten der Konstruktion, wenn diese anderen Belastungen ausgesetzt wird. Diese Europäische Norm gibt keinen Aufschluß über die Durchschußhemmung der Verbindung zwischen Rahmen und Wand oder anderen umgebenden Gebäudeteilen1).
