Der Zweck dieser Europäischen Norm ist es, die erforderlichen Eingaben, Ausgaben und Verbindungen (die Struktur) des Berechnungsverfahrens zu normen, um zu einem gemeinsamen europäischen Berechnungsverfahren zu gelangen. Diese Norm gilt für die Berechnung der Gesamtenergieeffizienz von Heizungsanlagen und wasserbasierten Wärmeübergabe-Teilsystemen zur Raumheizung und -kühlung.
