Dieses Dokument benennt die wichtigsten Eigenschaften und die dazugehörigen Prüfverfahren für die Bewertung von Polyethylenterephthalat(PET)-Rezyklaten, die für die Produktion von Halbzeugen/Fertigprodukten vorgesehen sind. Es ist dafür vorgesehen (Vertrags-)Partner, die sich mit dem Einsatz von PET-Rezyklaten beschäftigen, bei der Einigung auf Spezifikationen für spezifische und allgemeine Anwendungen zu unterstützen. Dieses Dokument behandelt weder die Charakterisierung von Kunststoffabfällen, die von der Normenreihe EN 15347 abgedeckt werden, noch Themen zur Rückverfolgbarkeit, die von EN 15343 abgedeckt werden. Dieses Dokument beeinträchtigt bei seiner Anwendung keinerlei geltende Vorschriften.
