Diese Europäische Norm legt Anforderungen und Prüfverfahren für angeliefertes bzw. vermarktetes Ethanol fest, das als Streckmittel für Kraftstoffe zum Einsatz in Kraftfahrzeugen mit Ottomotor, in Übereinstimmung mit den Anforderungen von EN 228, Verwendung findet. Die Norm ist für Ethanol für den gesamten Blendbereich bis hin zu und einschließlich 85 % (V/V) Ethanol anwendbar.
