Diese ÖNORM legt die Bestimmung von Formaldehyd im Wasserextrakt von Papier, Karton und Pappe fest, welche für den Kontakt mit Lebensmitteln vorgesehen sind. Die Nachweisgrenze liegt bei 1 mg/kg. Das bedeutet, dass für ein Papier mit einer basisflächenbezogenen Masse von 100 g/m2 die Nachweisgrenze bei 0,001 mg/dm2 liegen wird.
