Das Verfahren erlaubt die Identifikation dieses Chelatbildners und die Bestimmung der wasserlöslichen Fraktion des von diesem Chelatbildner chelatisierten Eisens. Das Verfahren gilt nicht für die Bestimmung der Menge des freien Chelatbildners.
