Diese Europäische Norm legt Abmessungen, Werkstoffe und Prüfanforderungen (einschließlich Prüfmethoden) für Druckminderer und Druckmindererkombinationen von DN 8 bis DN 100 für einen Eingangsdruck der 1,6 MPa (16 bar) und für eine Temperatur die 30 °C für Kaltwasser-Einsatz und 80 °C für Warmwasser-Einsatz nicht überschreitet. Falls vom Hersteller nicht anders angegeben, können diese Armaturen in jeder beliebigen Einbaulage eingebaut werden. ANMERKUNG: Die Verwendung dieser Geräte nach der vorliegenden Norm erübrigt nicht den Einbau von Sicherheitseinrichtungen zum Schutz gegen Überdruck.
