Diese Europäische Norm legt Toleranzen, Ebenheit von Steg und Flanschen, Flanschabweichung, Kanten-bearbeitung, Bruchverhalten sowie physikalische und mechanische Eigenschaften von einscheibigem, thermisch vorgespannten Kalknatron-Profilbau-Sicherheitsglas für den Gebrauch im Bauwesen fest. An thermisch vorgespanntes Kalknatron-Profilbau-Sicherheitsglas können, wenn es weiterverarbeitet, z. B. beschichtet wird, andere Anforderungen gestellt werden, die in diesem Dokument nicht beschrieben sind. Die zusätzlichen Anforderungen sind in der entsprechenden Produktnorm EN 15683-2 festgelegt.
