Diese Europäische Norm bietet einen Leitfaden für die Beheizung von Andachtsstätten und anderen Gebäuden mit ähnlichen Merkmalen an, um der Beschädigung des Kulturerbes vorzubeugen und gleichzeitig eine zukunftsfähige Nutzung dieser Gebäude zu gestatten. Diese Norm gilt nur für Gebäude, die Teil des kulturellen Erbes sind oder in denen Objekte des kulturellen Erbes aufbewahrt werden. Sie gilt nicht für Katakomben. Die Norm bezieht sich auf klimatische Bedingungen und Konzepte für das Raumklima ebenso wie auf die technischen Anforderungen für die Umsetzung, aber nicht auf die technische Ausstattung selbst.
