Dieses Dokument legt allgemeine Regeln für die Zählung von Bazillen in Futtermitteln (Zusatzstoffe, Vormischungen und Mischfuttermittel einschließlich mineralischer Futtermittel) fest, die Bazillen als einzigen mikrobiellen Bestandteil oder in einem Gemisch mit anderen Mikroorganismen enthalten. Es gibt unterschiedliche Kategorien von Futtermittelproben: a) Zusatzstoffe, die etwa 10^(10) koloniebildende Einheiten (KbE)/g enthalten; b) Vormischungen, die etwa 10^(11) KbE/kg enthalten; c) Mischfuttermittel, Mehle oder Pellets, die etwa 10^(9) KbE/kg enthalten.
