Dieses Dokument ist anzuwenden für Flockungsmittel auf Eisenbasis (Eisen(III)chlorid, Eisen(III)chloridsulfat und Eisen(III)sulfat, flüssig), die direkt zur Aufbereitung von Schwimm- und Badebeckenwasser oder zur Herstellung von Zubereitungen für diesen Zweck verwendet werden. Es beschreibt die Eigenschaften von Flockungsmitteln auf Eisenbasis und legt die Anforderungen sowie die entsprechenden Prüfverfahren für Flockungsmittel auf Eisenbasis fest. Es enthält Angaben zu deren Anwendung in der Aufbereitung von Schwimm- und Badebeckenwasser. Allgemeine Angaben zu Flockungsmitteln auf Eisenbasis sind in Anhang A enthalten. Es legt darüber hinaus Regeln für die sichere Handhabung und Verwendung fest (siehe Anhang B).
