Zweck dieser Europäischen Norm ist die Bereitstellung von Grundsätzen und Anleitungen für die Erstellung von Dokumenten zur erweiterten Anwendung von Abschottungssystemen, die nach EN 1366-3 geprüft wurden. Das Dokument zum Bereich der erweiterten Anwendungsbereich gilt zusätzlich zu dem in EN 1366-3 angegebenen direkten Anwendungsbereich und kann für eine Einzelprüfung oder mehrere Prüfungen angewendet werden, die die relevanten Informationen für die erweiterte Anwendung liefert bzw. liefern. Es sollte beachtet werden, dass diese Europäische Norm eine allgemeine Orientierung über wahrscheinliche Auswirkungen einer Änderung liefert. Es werden weder Aussagen zum Ausmaß getroffen noch wie dieses Ausmaß zu bewerten ist.
