Diese Norm beschreibt Verfahren zur Detektierung und Ortung von Lecks durch Blasenprüfverfahren. Die Empfindlichkeit hängt von der Vorgehensweise und dem benutzten Material ab. Zwei Vorgehensweisen werden beschrieben: a) Eintauchverfahren. Quantitative Messungen können durchgeführt werden, indem man dieses Verfahren mit speziellen Vorrichtungen anwendet (siehe den informativen Anhang A); b) Auftragen von Flüssigkeit. Das Personal für die Dichtheitsprüfung muß qualifiziert und, falls durch die entsprechenden Spezifikationen oder Festlegungen vorgeschrieben, in Übereinstimmung mit EN 473 zertifiziert worden sein.
