Dieses Dokument legt Anforderungen an und Prüfverfahren für paraffinischen Dieselkraftstoff fest, der als solcher gehandelt und ausgeliefert wird und einen Gehalt von bis zu 7,0 % (V/V) an Fettsäuremethylester (FAME) aufweist. Es gilt für Kraftstoff für die Verwendung in Dieselmotoren und Kraftfahrzeugen, die für paraffinischen Dieselkraftstoff geeignet sind. Es legt zwei Klassen von paraffinischem Dieselkraftstoff fest: eine Klasse mit hoher Cetanzahl und eine mit normaler Cetanzahl. Paraffinischer Dieselkraftstoff stammt aus Synthese- oder Hydrierverfahren.
