Dieses Dokument legt die anzuwendenden Prüfverfahren für Glasprodukte fest, für die eine Feuerwiderstandsfähigkeit beansprucht wird. Dieses Verfahren umfasst die Typprüfung [en: Type Testing (TT)] nach der relevanten Produktnorm für Glas. Dasselbe Verfahren kann auch zur Festlegung der Brandschutzklassifizierung für Marktanwendungen angewendet werden. Die Verfahrensweise gilt für alle Glasarten, bei denen Prüfung und Klassifizierung des Feuerwiderstands relevant sein kann. Feuerwiderstandsprüfungen decken Endanwendungen ab, wie z. B.: - Türen; - Trennwände, Wände (einschließlich Vorhangfassaden); - Decken, Dächer; - Unterdecken.
