Diese Europäische Norm legt die Anforderungen an die Typprüfung und die werkseigene Produktions-kontrolle zur Bewertung und Überprüfung der Leistungsbeständigkeit von Gesteinskörnungen fest. Vertraglich bedingte, zusätzlich ausgeführte Prüfungen fallen nicht in den Anwendungsbereich dieser Norm. Diese Europäische Norm kommt bei Europäischen Normen für Gesteinskörnungen zur Anwendung, wenn regulatorisch eine Kennzeichnung der Konformität gefordert wird. Sie ist auch bei Europäischen Normen in Fällen anwendbar, in denen eine solche Kennzeichnung nicht regulatorisch ist. Diese Europäische Norm ist auf die Typprüfung und werkseigene Produktionskontrolle von Gesteinskörnungen im Rahmen des Anwendungsbereichs von EN 12620, EN 13043, EN 13242, EN 13139, EN 13383-1 und EN 13450 anwendbar.
