Diese Europäische Norm legt die Anforderungen an die Konstruktion, Funktion und Ursprungsverpackung von pyrotechnischen Gegenständen für Bühne und Theater der in EN 16256-1:2012, Abschnitt 3, festgelegten Gegenstandstypen fest. Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für Gegenstände, die militärische Explosivstoffe oder handelsübliche Sprengstoffe mit Ausnahme von Schwarzpulver oder Blitzsätzen enthalten. Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für Gegenstände, die einen pyrotechnischen Satz enthalten, in dem einer der nachfolgend genannten Stoffe enthalten ist: - Arsen oder Arsenverbindungen; - Polychlorbenzole; - Blei oder Bleiverbindungen; - Quecksilberverbindungen; - weißer Phosphor; - Pikrate oder Pikrinsäure.
