Diese Europäische Norm legt die Gewindeprofile für alle Schraubmundstücke für Metall-, Kunststoff- und Metall-Kunststoff-Verschlüsse fest. Die abgeflachten Gewinde könnten für Mundstücke mit durchgehendem Gewinde verwendet werden, um die Gewindetiefe an und neben der Formennaht zu verringern. Abgeflachte Gewinde werden nur bei größer gleich 28 mm Roll-On Pilferproof (ROPP)-Mundstücken verwendet, wobei der Verschluss auf das Mundstück geformt wird.
