Diese Europäische Norm gilt für Anlagen, bei denen dem Wasser, das einer Feuerlöschkreiselpumpe entnommen wird, ein Schaummittel zugeführt wird, entweder: a) durch eine Druckzumischanlage (DZA) allein; oder b) zusammen mit Druckluft mithilfe einer Druckluftschaumanlage (DLS). In beiden Fällen wird das Schaummittel unter Druck zugeführt, um einen kontinuierlichen Betrieb zu gestatten. Diese Anlagen sind in Feuerwehrfahrzeuge fest eingebaut. Dauerhaft oder fest in Gebäude oder Konstruktionen eingebaute Anlagen sind nicht Gegenstand dieser Norm.
