Dieser Teil von EN 1634 beschreibt ein Prüfverfahren zur Ermittlung der Leckage von kaltem und warmem Rauch von einer Seite eines Abschlusses zur anderen unter festgelegten Prüfbedingungen. Die Prüfung kann auf Abschlüsse unterschiedlicher Bauart angewendet werden, die zur Behinderung der Rauchbewegung im Brandfall vorgesehen sind. Dieses Prüfverfahren kann auch auf Fahrschachttüren und Abschlüsse bahngebundener Förderanlagen angewendet werden. Das Prüfprinzip wird im Anhang A kurz erläutert.
