Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Multi-Screening-Verfahren unter Anwendung der Umkehrphasen-HPLC zum Nachweis von in der Kosmetik Verordnung aufgelisteten UV-Filtern fest. Das Verfahren ist auf die quantitative Bestimmung von 10 UV-Filtern anwendbar, die vorwiegend in emulsionsbasierten kosmetischen Produkten und Sonnenschutzsprays eingesetzt werden, insbesondere in Bezug auf die in der Kosmetik Verordnung aufgelistete Höchstkonzentration. Weitere Analysenverfahren zur qualitativen und quantitativen Bestimmung von UV-Filtern dürfen eingesetzt werden, sofern sie zu vergleichbaren Ergebnissen führen.
