Diese Europäische Norm legt den Begriff Besatz sowie das Verfahren zur Bestimmung seiner Bestandteile fest. Der Begriff Besatz wird als ein Parameter für bestimmte Qualitätsaspekte von Mais (Zea mays L.) und Hirse (Sorghum bicolor L.) verwendet. Dieses Verfahren wurde in einem Ringversuch validiert mit Hilfe der Untersuchung von Proben, die natürliche Mengen an Besatz enthalten, im Bereich von: - 0,0 % bis 2,7 % bei Bruchkorn; - 0,2 % bis 3,5 % bei Kornbesatz; - 0,5 % bis 3,3 % bei Schwarzbesatz; - 1,8 % bis 8,7 % bei Gesamt-Besatz.
