Die vorliegende Europäische Norm legt die Verfahrensweise für die Ermittlung der Wirksamkeit von wasserabweisenden Produkten auf porösen anorganischen Materialien im Labor fest. Sie beruht auf der Messung mehrerer Parameter, die die Wirksamkeit des Produkts unter Verwendung von Standardprüfverfahren vor und nach der Alterung bewerten. Eine angemessene Wirksamkeit unter Laborbedingungen stellt keine pauschale Bestätigung einer Anwendbarkeit in jeder Situation dar.
