Diese Europäische Norm legt die Konstruktion und die Maße für ein 26-mm-Schraubverschlussmundstück mit drei Gewindegängen für stilles Wasser und kohlensäurefreie Getränke fest. Dieses Verschlussmundstück kann zur aseptischen Befüllung und zur Befüllung mit Stickstoffeinleitung (innerer Überdruck höchstens 1 bar) verwendet werden. Das Maß (12,0) ist die Höhe, in Millimeter, von der Oberkante des Verschlussmundstückes bis zur Unterseite des Halsstützrings. Dieses Verschlussmundstück ist dafür ausgelegt, ausschließlich Kunststoffverschlüsse mit Originalitäts-sicherung aufzunehmen. Während des ersten Öffnens wird das Originalitätssicherungsband von der Verschlusskappe getrennt und verbleibt bei einer Einwegflasche auf dem Flaschenhals oder es reißt bei Mehrwegflaschen, bleibt aber mit der Verschlusskappe verbunden.
