Diese Europäische Norm legt funktionale und sicherheitstechnische Anforderungen und Prüfverfahren für Leichtgewicht-Tore, wie in Abschnitt 4 klassifiziert, fest. Diese Norm ist nicht anwendbar auf Tore: a) nach EN 748 (Fußball); b) EN 749 (Handball); c) EN 750 (Hockey); d) EN 1270 (Basketball); e) EN 15312 (frei zugängliche Multisportgeräte); f) EN 13451-4 (Wasserball); g) prEN 16579 (ortsveränderliche und standortgebundene Tore); h) aufblasbare Tore; i) Tore, die unter der Zuständigkeit des Technischen Komitees CEN/TC 52 "Sicherheit von Spielzeug" als Spielzeug eingestuft sind; j) Tore, die für eine Bewegung während der Benutzung vorgesehen sind (z. B. Eishockey und Rollhockey). Diese Norm gilt für Spielfeldtore, die zu Trainings- oder Erholungszwecken genutzt und in Innen- und Außenbereichen einschließlich Bildungseinrichtungen und öffentlichen Einrichtungen, sowie Erholungsbereichen verwendet werden.
