Dieser Teil der Europäischen Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung des Fließverhaltens, wie in CEN/TR 15463 festgelegt, von Schlamm mit einem Gerät mit Extrusionsrohr fest. Dieser Teil der Europäischen Norm gilt für Schlämme und Schlammsuspensionen aus folgenden Bereichen: - Behandlung von Regenwasser; - Kanalisationssysteme für kommunales Abwasser; - Anlagen für die Behandlung von kommunalem Abwasser; - Anlagen zur Behandlung von industriellem Abwasser, das kommunalem Abwasser ähnlich ist (wie in der Richtlinie 91/271/EWG festgelegt); - Aufbereitungsanlagen für die Wasserversorgung. Dieses Verfahren ist auch auf Schlämme und Schlammsuspensionen anderer Herkunft anwendbar.
