Dieses Dokument legt das Verfahren zur Messung des Kraftstoffverbrauchs für geländegängige Flurförderzeuge mit veränderlicher Reichweite nach ISO 5053-1 fest, die im Folgenden als Flurförderzeuge bezeichnet werden. Es gilt nicht für schwenkbare Stapler, die eine Bewegung von mehr als 5° auf jeder Seite der Längsachse aufweisen. Dieser Teil ist dafür vorgesehen, zusammen mit EN 16796-1 angewendet zu werden. Wenn sich die Anforderungen in diesem Teil von jenen in Teil 1 unterscheiden, haben die Anforderungen in diesem Teil 4 Vorrang.
