Diese Europäische Norm beschreibt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung von Monomethylquecksilber (MMHg) in Lebensmitteln marinen Ursprungs. Das Verfahren wurde in einem Ringversuch an Muschelgewebe, Tintenfischgewebe, Scherenmuskulatur von Krabben, Dornhaileber, Walfleisch, Kabeljaumuskulatur und Muskulatur des Schwarzen Heilbutts (alle gefriergetrocknet) mit Massenanteilen von 0,04 mg/kg bis 3,6 mg/kg Trockenmasse nach ISO 5725-2 validiert. Laborversuche haben gezeigt, dass das Verfahren auch für frische Proben anwendbar ist.
