Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Verfahren zur vollständigen Extraktion von Bor, Cobalt, Kupfer, Eisen, Mangan, Molybdän und Zink aus mineralischen Düngemitteln, die einen oder mehrere Spurennährstoffe enthalten, mit Königswasser fest. Die Extrakte können nach EN 16963, EN 16965, prEN 17041, prEN 17042 und prEN 17043 analysiert werden. Dieses Verfahren ist auch anwendbar für die Extraktion von Cadmium, Chrom, Nickel und Blei, die nach EN 16319 zu bestimmen sind, für die Extraktion von Quecksilber, das nach EN 16320 zu bestimmen ist, und für die Extraktion von Arsen, das nach EN 16317 zu bestimmen ist.
