Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung von Iod in Futtermitteln mit der Massenspektrometrie mit induktiv gekoppeltem Plasma (ICP-MS) nach dessen Extraktion mit einer alkalischen Lösung fest. Dieses Verfahren wurde erfolgreich im Bereich von 0,70 mg/kg bis 631 mg/kg in folgenden Futtermitteln angewendet: Seealgenmehl, Mineralstoffvormischung, Fischmehl, pflanzlicher Wirkstoff, Mischfutter aus Meerestieren und eine synthetische Iodlösung.
