Dieses Dokument definiert die Gebrauchseigenschaften von Waschschleudermaschinen und gibt die üblichen Verfahren zur Prüfung dieser Eigenschaften mit Bezug auf die Maschinenbeladung, den Energie-verbrauch und die Produktionsmenge an. Es dient zur Orientierung bei der Erstellung von Kaufaufträgen für Waschschleudermaschinen, deren nutzbares Nettovolumen der Trommel 400 dmł (Liter) bzw. 40 kg und mehr beträgt. Außerdem wird es zur Bestimmung des Energieverbrauchs und der Produktionsmenge entsprechend der Richtlinie 2009/125/EG empfohlen. Darüber hinaus beschreibt das Dokument Standard-verfahren für die Messung grundlegender Gebrauchseigenschaften von Waschschleudermaschinen. Es behandelt keine Sicherheitsanforderungen (siehe EN ISO 10472-2).
