Dieses Dokument legt ein Verfahren für die Prüfung der Sicherheit der Befestigung funktionaler und dekorativer Knöpfe an Bekleidung, einschließlich Kleidungsstücken wie z. B. Handschuhe, Hüte, Schals, Strümpfe, Tücher und Textilgürtel, fest. Dieses Dokument gilt nicht für: a) Artikel für die Kinderpflege; b) Schuhe, Stiefel und ähnliche Fußbekleidung; c) Spielzeug; d) und sonstige mit der Bekleidung verkaufte Gegenstände. Der Anwendungsbereich dieses Dokuments ist auf angenähte Knöpfe, Knebelknöpfe und Tack-Buttons (Jeansknöpfe) beschränkt. Die Beurteilung anderer Kleidungsstückkomponenten wird berücksichtigt in: - CEN/TS 17394-3, oder - CEN/TS 17394-4. Leistungsanforderungen sind in CEN/TS 17394-1 enthalten.
