Diese Europäische Norm legt ein einfaches Verfahren für die Untersuchung von Hausmüllverbrennungsasche (HMV-Asche) zu dem Zweck fest, die relativen Anteile metallischer Bestandteile zu bestimmen. Diese Europäische Norm beschreibt die für die Typprüfung und in Streitfällen anzuwendenden Referenzverfahren für die Bestimmung der relativen Anteile von Aluminium oder anderen metallischen Bestandteilen in einer Gesteinskörnung aus HMV-Asche. Für andere Zwecke, speziell im Rahmen der werkseigenen Produktionskontrolle, dürfen andere Verfahren angewendet werden, sofern ein ausreichender Zusammenhang mit dem Referenzverfahren nachgewiesen wurde.
