Diese Europäische Norm beschreibt die für die Typprüfung und in Streitfällen anzuwendenden Referenzverfahren für die Bestimmung der relativen Anteile von Aluminium oder anderen metallischen Bestandteilen in einer Gesteinskörnung aus HMV-Asche. Für andere Zwecke, speziell im Rahmen der werkseigenen Produktionskontrolle, dürfen andere Verfahren angewendet werden, sofern ein ausreichender Zusammenhang mit dem Referenzverfahren nachgewiesen wurde.
