Dieses Dokument legt die Sorten und die entsprechenden Anforderungen an Gussstücke aus Magnesium-legierungen fest. Dieses Dokument legt zwei Gruppen von Magnesiumgusslegierungssorten nach der Einordnung anhand der chemischen Zusammensetzung fest. Die erste Gruppe behandelt Sorten für Blockmetalle aus Magnesium-legierungen. Die zweite Gruppe behandelt Sorten für Gussstücke aus Magnesiumlegierungen. Dieses Dokument legt außerdem die mechanischen Eigenschaften fest, die an Proben, die aus Probestücken hergestellt wurden, ermittelt wurden. Dieses Dokument deckt nicht die technischen Lieferbedingungen für Gussstücke aus Magnesiumlegierungen (siehe EN 1559-1 [7] und EN 1559-5 [8]) ab.
