Für runde Flansche aus Kupferlegierungen und Verbundwerkstoffen die nach Class bezeichnet werden, sind die Anforderungen und die verschiedenen Flanschtypen festgelegt. Die Festlegungen beziehen sich auf den Nennweitenbereich NPS 1/2 bis NPS 36 sowie auf die Druckstufen Class 150 bis Class 300. Im Detail geregelt sind die unterschiedlichen Dichtflächen, die Abmessungen der Flansche, die Schraubenanzahlen und -dimensionen sowie die notwendigen Toleranzangaben. Weiters ist die Kennzeichnung sowie die zugehörige Druck/Temperatur-Zuordnung entsprechend den Werkstoffen beschrieben.
