Diese Europäische Norm legt die Anforderungen an vier Typen von Schlauchleitungen zum Ansaugen und Fördern von Öl fest; diese werden zum Transport von Erdöl einschließlich Rohöl und anderer flüssiger Erdölerzeugnisse mit einem maximalen Volumenanteil an Aromaten von 50 % verwendet. Sie sind nicht einsetzbar für verflüssigtes Gas und Erdgas. Schlauchleitungen entsprechend diesem Dokument können in einem Temperaturbereich von -20 °C bis +82 °C eingesetzt werden. Die festgelegten Schläuche sind in einem Größenbereich vom Nenndurchmesser 50 bis 500 und können eine glatte, eine raue oder eine verstärkte raue Innenschicht haben. Schläuche zur Verwendung mit Erdölerzeugnissen, die einen Volumenanteil an Aromaten von mehr als 50 % haben, liegen außerhalb des Anwendungsbereichs dieses Dokuments; die Anforderungen können aber als Grundlage für solche Schläuche bei Anfragen an den Hersteller verwendet werden.
