Es ist anwendbar für Papier und Pappe mit einem extrahierbaren Aluminiumgehalt von mindestens 0,2 mg/l. Niedrigere Extraktgehalte an Aluminium können unter Anwendung dieses Dokuments gemessen werden, wenn empfindliche Geräte zur Verfügung stehen und alle anderen Laboratoriumsbedingungen die Anforderungen für die Spurenelementanalyse erfüllen.
