Kunststoffbahnen für Abdichtungen verursachen in verschiedenen Lebensstadien (-phasen) Kunststoffabfall: bei Produktion, Einbau, Nutzungszeit und Ende der Lebensdauer. Dieses Dokument legt die Quelle des Rezyklats fest. Das Rezyklat wird aus Pre- und Post-Consumer-Material hergestellt und in neuen Produkten verwendet. Diese neuen Produkte können Kunststoffbahnen für Abdichtungen, andere Bahnen, andere Bauprodukte oder andere Produkte sein. Es legt Begriffe fest. Es dient als Leitfaden für die Bewertung des Rezyklats, das für die Verwendung in der Produktion neuer Produkte vorgesehen ist. Dieses Dokument ist für ähnliche Produkte anwendbar wie Bauplanen oder -bahnen aus Polymeren oder Kunststoffkomponenten, wie: Bahnen für Schwimmbecken, geosynthetische Bahnen, Gartenteichbahnen, Schutzbahnen, Zubehör aus thermoplastischen Werkstoffen wie Laufstege und vorgefertigte Teile.
