Diese Europäische Norm beschreibt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Fähigkeit eines Klebstoffes, ein Messingmaterial bei angelegter Spannung und hoher Feuchtigkeit zu korrodieren. Die Temperatur, die Feuchtigkeit, die Zeitspanne der Alterung und die angelegte Spannung sind deshalb so gewählt, um eine maximale Unterscheidung zwischen der Korrosivität unterschiedlicher Klebstoffe sicherzustellen, und sollen nicht dazu dienen, unterschiedliche Anwendungsbedingungen nachzustellen.
