Diese Norm legt zwei verschiedene Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Dicke von Kunststoffbelägen fest. Im Verfahren A (zerstörende Prüfung) wird die Dicke der einzelnen Schichten als auch der Gesamtdicke bestimmt. Das Verfahren B (zerstörungsfreie Prüfung) dient zur routinemäßigen Überprüfung der Dicke für Kontrollzwecke oder bei der Vermessung von großflächigen Kunststoffbelägen.
