Diese Europäische Norm legt die Zusammensetzung, die mechanischen, elektrischen und physikalischen Eigenschaften von hochleitfähigem Vordraht aus Kupfer fest. Der Vordraht wird verwendet zum Drahtziehen, hauptsächlich zur Herstellung von elektrischen Leitern. Die Norm umfasst Vordraht aus neun Kupfersorten und neun silberhaltigen Kupfersorten. Der Querschnitt ist in der Regel ungefähr rund mit Durchmessern ab 6 mm.
