Diese Norm legt die Eigenschaften von UV-Laser-bedruckbaren, mehradrigen, ummantelten elektrischen Leitungen zur Verwendung in Bordnetzen von Luftfahrzeugen bei Betriebstemperaturen zwischen -55 °C und 200 °C fest. Es muss auch möglich sein, diese Leistungen mittels Heißprägung oder Tintenstrahldruck zu kennzeichnen. Diese Kennzeichnungen müssen die Anforderungen von EN 3838 erfüllen.
