Das Dokument legt die Eigenschaften von elektrischen, UV Laser bedruckbaren, ein- und mehradrigen, geschirmten (Umseilung) und ummantelten Leitungen fest, die zur Verwendung in Bordnetzen von Luftfahrzeugen bei Betriebstemperaturen zwischen -55 °C und 200 °C bestimmt sind. Es muss auch möglich sein, diese Leitungen mittels Heißprägung oder Tintenstrahl zu kennzeichnen. Diese Kennzeichnungen müssen EN 3838 entsprechen.
