Diese Europäische Norm legt Anforderungen für Steinzeugrohre und Verbindungen für den Rohrvortrieb fest für erdverlegte Abwasserleitungen und -kanäle, die zur Ableitung von Abwasser (einschließlich häuslichem Abwasser, Oberflächenwasser und Regenwasser) als Freispiegelleitung und unter zeitweise erhöhtem Druck oder bei dauerhaft niedrigen Überdrücken verwendet werden. Rohrvortriebsverfahren schließen Mikrotunnelbau (ferngesteuerter, unbemannter Rohrvortrieb), Rohrüberfahren (en: pipe eating), Rohraufweiten (en: pipe bursting) und, sofern geeignet, Einzelrohrlining ein. Diese Norm legt ebenfalls die Anforderungen an Werkstoffe aus Gummi, Polyurethan, Polypropylen und nichtrostendem Stahl sowie andere Werkstoffe für Verbindungen fest, die für den Rohrvortrieb verwendet werden.
