Diese Europäische Norm legt die Maße, die Grenzabmaße, die Anforderungen und die Masse eines AWG 24-Viererkabels, einfach geschirmt, Typ KH, für schnelle Duplex-Ethernet-Netze (100 Mbit/s) fest. Für diesen speziellen Anwendungsfall liegen die Betriebstemperaturen der Leitungen zwischen -65 °C und 260 °C. Diese Leitung ist Laser-bedruckbar, diese Bedruckung entspricht den Anforderungen der EN 3838. Der Wellenwiderstand muss (100 ± 15) Ohm betragen.
