Diese Europäische Norm legt die Anforderungen an und die Prüfungen für Kegel-Schmiernippel aus korrosionsbeständigem Stahl, passiviert, fest. In Anhang A (normativ) sind die Anforderungen an den Freiraum für das Kuppeln und Entkuppeln der Schmierpresse und der maximal zulässige Durchmesser des Schmierpressenschlauchs und Anforderungen an das Gewinde für den Einbau angegeben. Schmiernippel nach dieser Europäischen Norm sind für die Anwendung in Baugruppen der Luft- und Raumfahrt vorgesehen, bei denen eine regelmäßige Schmierung der beweglichen Teile erforderlich ist.
