Diese Europäische Norm legt die Eigenschaften für sehr flexible wärmeschrumpfende Polymerschläuche zur Verwendung in elektrischen Bordnetzen von Luftfahrzeugen bei Betriebstemperaturen zwischen -75 °C bis 150 °C fest. Dieser Schlauch ist sehr flexibel, flammgehemmt und verfügt über eine dicke Wand als mechanischen Schutz. Er ist zur Anwendung als Kabelschutz in Bereichen geeignet, in denen die Verkabelung Verschmutzungen durch Luftfahrzeugkraftstoffe und Hydraulikflüssigkeiten ausgesetzt ist. Diese Schläuche werden üblicherweise mit Innendurchmessern bis zu 102 mm für Schrumpfverhältnisse von 2 : 1 geliefert. Sie sind nur in schwarz verfügbar. Es dürfen andere Größen als die speziell in dieser Norm angegebenen angeboten werden. Für diese Bauteile wird davon ausgegangen, dass sie diese Norm erfüllen, wenn sie die in Tabelle 2, Tabelle 3 und Tabelle 4 angegebenen Anforderungen an die Merkmale, mit Ausnahme der Maße und der Masse, erfüllen.
