Diese ÖNORM legt ein Prüfverfahren zur Bestimmung des Einflusses von Zusatzmitteln auf die Korrosion von einem in einer Mörtelprobe eingebetteten Rundstahlstab, der in einer elektrochemischen Zelle einem erhöhten Potential ausgesetzt ist. Das Verfahren kann zur Bestimmung der Unschädlichkeit von Zusatzmitteln in Bezug auf die Korrosion von Betonstahl, jedoch nicht von Spannstahl, angewendet werden. Es gilt für alle Zusatzmittel für Beton, Mörtel und Einpressmörtel, die mit Betonstahl in Berührung kommen. Dieses Prüfverfahren gilt nicht für die Beurteilung des Korrosionsverhaltens von Zusatzmitteln, die in Verbindung mit hochzugfestem Stahl verwendet werden. Dieses Prüfverfahren dient nicht dazu, die Wirksamkeit von als Korrosionshemmenstoffe definierten Zusatzmitteln zu beurteilen. Die in Zusatzmitteln vorhandene Menge an Chloriden wird durch eine gesonderte, in den entsprechenden Teilen der Normenreihe ÖNORM EN 934 angegebene Anforderung, abgedeckt.
